Dogmatic Joy is a traditional Anglican blog written by Fr. Lorenzo Galuszka, a parish priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas. It features transcripts of his weekly sermons, as well as occasional essays and reflections.
The title of the blog refers to the author’s conviction that the dogmas and doctrines of classical Christianity are not unfortunate straitjackets meant to bind us, but sources of deep joy. The dogmas of the Holy Trinity, the Incarnation, the Eucharist, et al, proclaim eternal truths about the good God who has revealed Himself in the face of Our Lord Jesus Christ. As such, the dogmas are meant to be celebrated, meditated upon, and enjoyed.
